Hello one and all,
First of all, small apologies for going dark of late, it may seem like we have deserted you but let us give some reassurance that this is not the case!
We have been busy behind the scenes working on fresh material and more importantly, polishing off tracks for our new EP. More info on this will come in the next couple of weeks as the mastering process gets finished up and we have the artwork all lovely and polished.
In the meantime, feel free to watch a couple of short videos put together by our good chum Michael Maclennan during the recording process…
See you soon for some fun and games! x
Last week was another busy one for the BSA massif’ as some of you might know if you trawl Facebook or any of our other social networks. We were asked to play a show at Flat 0/1 on Bath Street, Glasgow by our friends at MILK. Before the show we played an acoustic version of one of our up and coming tracks ‘Bitches’.
The whole experience was made that much more enjoyable by the presence of Mobo attendee, Mr. Play and his entourage. We hope he enjoyed himself as much as we did:
We hope you enjoyed last weekend and have had a smooth, easy week. Like those of you who are lucky enough to reside in Scotland we found ourselves with a longer than average weekend, so we did the only thing any up and coming musical outfit could possibly do with surprise free time. We hit the studio to record our new EP.
We were very lucky to work with our friends Iain Cook (Aereogramme, The Unwinding Hours) who oversaw the process as producer and Jamie Savage (Olympic Swimmers, Zoey Van Goey) as engineer and Michael Maclennan who came along to take some photos (see below) and do some video recording. Suffice to say, it was an intense few days of caffeine rushes, dark chocolate hobnobs and serious rock attitude, obviously.
3 new tracks are now in the mixing stages and news on the release shall follow very soon. All we can say is that fans can expect a fully developed EP with lots of energy coming from the song choices!
In other news, we shall be playing a show in Glasgow next week on Wednesday 5th of October at Flat 0/1 with Friends in America and Yaya Club. For those who feel like breaking the monotony of a working week, or those who simply feel like Wednesday jolly, please come along and join us.
As always, thanks for your support and we shall keep you updated. X
It’s an exciting time at BlueSkyArchives HQ with new management in place. We have been working with Alex Howell of Rawk Music and getting things in place for a wee facelift including our new website. Ta Da… Moving on, we have a small announcement to make:
This weekend we will be heading back into the studio to record our 3rd EP. We are really looking forward to recording at Chem19 Recording Studios and working alongside new and familiar faces including Iain Cook (on board in a much more involved role as producer) and Jamie Savage as our studio engineer.
The finer details will come in time…
We will keep you updated on the progress as often as we can. Perhaps even this weekend. x
Our friend Mike made a video of us. This is what it looks like:
We are playing Nice ‘n’ Sleazy next Saturday
July 2nd. With Indian Red Lopez. Yup.
